MyGarage | CarDocs & History keeps everything about a car in one place: the documents, the service history, the running costs, and the dates you need to be reminded about. You photograph or import a document, and the app reads it, files it, and adds what it learned to the car's record.
It is built around documents first. Most car apps start with fuel and expenses and treat paperwork as an afterthought. MyGarage starts with the paperwork — the registration, the insurance policy, the workshop invoice, the tire receipt — and derives the history from it.

What it does
Documents
Scan with the camera or import from Files and Photos. Text recognition pulls out the details, AI works out what kind of document it is, and it lands in the right folder with the right tags — 40 predefined tags across 7 categories. Everything is full-text searchable, so a policy number or a garage name finds the document that contains it.
More about document organizing →
Service history
Each invoice becomes a dated timeline entry with the mileage, the cost, and the parts and components involved — brakes, oil, filters, battery, tires. Over time that adds up to a documented history of the car rather than a folder of PDFs. You can import a manufacturer's maintenance schedule and see what is due next, and export the whole thing as a PDF report.
Costs
Fuel, service, insurance, parking, tolls and anything else, per car, with charts for consumption, monthly spend by category and fuel price over time. Trips group the fuel and expenses of a single journey so you can see what a holiday actually cost.
Insurance, tires, warranty and financing
Policies with expiry alerts and attached documents. Seasonal tire sets with tread depth, DOT dates and swap reminders — photograph a sidewall and the size, load and speed ratings are read for you. Warranties and service plans with expiry dates. Loans and leases with payment schedules and monthly reminders.
Reminders
Service intervals, inspection dates, insurance renewals and tire swaps, suggested from the car's own history rather than a generic checklist.
How the AI works
On iPhone, Apple Intelligence runs on-device for classification and tagging — those documents never leave the phone. When a document needs deeper understanding, Google Gemini handles it in the cloud. The split is deliberate and worth understanding before you decide whether the app suits you.

Frequently asked questions
What is MyGarage?
MyGarage is a car document and vehicle history app for iOS and Android. You scan or import your registration, insurance, service invoices and receipts; it reads them, files them, and builds a searchable history of the car — alongside expenses, fuel, tires, insurance and maintenance reminders.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your documents are stored on your device, not on a server belonging to us.
Where are my documents stored?
On your device. You can optionally back up to your own iCloud Drive, or export a single backup file you keep yourself. There is no MyGarage account holding your data.
Does MyGarage work offline?
Your documents, history, expenses and reminders are stored locally, so browsing and editing work without a connection. On-device Apple Intelligence also runs offline. The deeper cloud analysis, which uses Google Gemini, needs a connection.
Can I track more than one car?
Yes. Each car has its own documents, timeline, expenses, insurance, tires and reminders, and you switch between them in the app.
Can I import my history from another car app?
Yes. MyGarage reads CSV exports from apps such as Fuelio, Drivvo, Spritmonitor and aCar. One AI mapping step works out what each column means, so there is no per-app import format, and the whole import can be undone with one tap.
What happens when I get a new phone?
Create a backup file containing your data, documents and photos, move it across however you like, and restore it on the new device. Restore also works between iPhone and Android.
Which languages does MyGarage support?
English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Dutch, Portuguese and Swedish.
