MyGarage ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
MyGarage is built to keep your data on your device. Your documents, photos and vehicle records are stored locally and are not uploaded to servers operated by us. Two exceptions are described below: cloud AI analysis, and crash reporting.

- We operate no server that stores your documents
Local Data Storage
Your documents, photos and car information are stored on your device. This includes:
- Scanned documents and photos
- Recognized text from OCR
- Car information and specifications
- Timeline events and service records
Analytics
We use Sentry for crash and error reporting so we can fix problems. This includes device and operating system details, the error itself, and technical identifiers such as your IP address. A sample of sessions may include a screen replay, in which text and images are masked by default. We do not use analytics to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell this data.
AI Features
MyGarage uses two AI systems. On supported iPhones, Apple Intelligence runs entirely on your device for classification, tagging and summaries — that data does not leave your phone. For deeper analysis — reading invoices, maintenance schedules, contracts and vehicle history reports — the document, including images and PDFs, is sent to Google's Gemini models via Firebase AI, analysed, and the structured result is returned to your device. Google processes this data as our service provider under the Firebase terms. You can turn this off: with document parsing disabled in Settings, documents are still stored and searchable but are not sent for cloud analysis.
iCloud Backup
When you enable iCloud backup, your data is stored in your personal iCloud Drive. This data is protected by Apple's privacy and security policies. We do not have access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud backup at any time in the app settings.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or trade your data. Data leaves your device only when you share or export it yourself, when cloud AI analysis is enabled, or through crash reporting as described above.
Security
MyGarage offers biometric authentication (Face ID, fingerprint) and passcode protection to secure access to your documents.
